    Okra soup is prepared using the edible green seed pods of the okra flowering plant as a primary ingredient. It is greenish in colour. Okra has a slippery feel when rubbed with the fingers. The edible green seed pods can also be used in stews


    Ingredients

    • 1 lb of okra
    • 1 lb of pig tail
    • 1 lb of salted beef
    • 1 lb of salted pork ribs
    • Fish (parrot fish, flying fish, or snuk)
      You can decide the quantity. Do not use too much fish.
    • 1 cup of shrimps
    • 1 lb of conch.


    Preparation

    1. Let the salted tail, beef and rib to sit overnight in a bowl of water in the refrigerator. (make sure all the meats are completely covered under water.
    2. The next day, rince the meats thoroughly to remove as much salt as you can. If you wish to remove more salt, you can soak it a little bit more in water.
    3. Put all the meats in boiling water and let it boil for about 15 minutes. Make sure all the meats are under water.
    4. Wash the okra thoroughly, and use a towel to remove the spines from the okras if there is any. Just rub the towel against the okras to remove the hairy spines.
    5. Wash the okras again and slice them.
    6. Wheb the meat is tender add the sliced okra in the boiling meat water. And lower the heat to medium high and let it cook while stiring mixture.
    7. Soak the shrimps in a bowl of water and make sure shrimps are peeled and deveined. Cut the fish in smaller pieces.
    8. Keep stirring the meat and the okra in the boilng water until the okra starts to break apart.
    9. Lower the heat to medium and add the fish and shrimp and let it cook a little bit more.
    10. When fish is cooked, the okra soap is ready
